The Next Level of Quality Primary Care
Turbulence and instability challenge the healthcare system; however, this also creates an opportunity to forge a better path forward for our community by establishing a strong, private and locally owned, primary care practice. In 2024, three highly respected, established primary care offices joined forces to become HealthAdvisors, and in turn formed Breakwater Primary Care. With the help of several leaders in healthcare, we created a practice focused on high quality, team and value based primary care to form the backbone of a better healthcare system for our patients and community. The founding physicians include Drs. Hugo Yamada, Hua Lu, Amber Gul, and Gregory Steinmetz.
A breakwater protects the shoreline from the effects of strong waves, currents, and tides. As primary care providers, we similarly strive to protect our patients from the ravages of acute diseases, like infections and injuries, as well as chronic diseases, like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
Research has shown that high quality, team based, primary care not only improves the health of our population, but reduces health care costs by preventing catastrophic outcomes, like stroke, heart attacks, and cancer.
We want to apply our knowledge and experience for the good of our patients and community, and build a strong “breakwater” for your future health.
